Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
CoffeeScope (“we”) is operated by Lasse Thomsen, Denmark, who is
the data controller for personal data processed through
www.coffeescope.dk.
Contact: lassebt@gmail.com or
hello@coffeescope.dk.
2. What we collect
- Feedback you send us: the message you write, and — only if you choose to
fill it in — your email address. We also store the page you sent it from, your browser
user-agent and your IP address, to help us reproduce problems and filter spam. Leaving the
email field blank is fully supported; the message is simply anonymous.
- Usage analytics (first-party, cookieless): a random session
identifier stored in your browser's localStorage (not a cookie), the pages
and features you interact with (e.g. running an experiment, opening a layer),
a coarse country derived from your IP address, and your browser user-agent.
- Aggregate web statistics (Google Analytics, cookieless): we run
Google Analytics in a consent-denied “cookieless” mode: it sets
no cookies and stores nothing on your device, and Google receives
only anonymous, aggregate pings (page views, campaign source, coarse region) that
cannot be linked to you across visits.
We do not use advertising cookies, and no tracker — ours or
Google's — stores an identifier on your device beyond the first-party session id
described above.
3. Why we process it (purposes & legal bases)
- Reading and replying to your feedback — legal basis: our
legitimate interest in improving CoffeeScope from what users tell us, and, where you
supplied an email address so we could reply, your consent (withdrawable at any time).
- Understanding product usage to improve CoffeeScope — legal basis:
our legitimate interest in first-party, privacy-preserving analytics that
set no non-essential cookies.
4. Who we share it with (processors)
- Resend — delivers the notification email that forwards your feedback to us.
If you supplied an email address, it is processed by Resend as part of that message.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the data on our behalf.
- Google (Google Analytics, cookieless mode) — receives anonymous,
aggregate usage pings as described in section 2; no cookies, no cross-visit
identifiers.
Some processors may transfer data outside the EU/EEA (e.g. to the United States);
where they do, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard
Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep it
We keep feedback for as long as it is useful for improving CoffeeScope, and analytics events for
a limited period needed to understand product usage. You can ask us to delete your feedback — and any
email address attached to it — at any time.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal
data, object to or restrict processing, request portability, and withdraw consent at any
time (without affecting prior processing). To exercise these rights, email
hello@coffeescope.dk. You may also lodge a
complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
7. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated”
date above.
